Interim Deputy Director with Special Responsibility for Urban Transformation

We are looking for an interim deputy director with special responsibility for urban transformation for a public organization. The assignment is strategic in nature and involves overall responsibility for coordinating, managing, and further developing the work.

The assignment is full-time, starting as soon as possible, and is expected to last for at least 24 months. You are expected to work on-site with the client.

About the Position

The assignment involves leading and coordinating urban transformation work from a holistic perspective. The role collaborates closely with the organization's top management and is part of several management groups. The assignment includes personnel responsibility and, if necessary, covering for the regular director.

You will be responsible for strategic management and coordination of urban transformation work. Analyze and propose developments in organization, governance, and collaboration forms. Ensure effective collaboration internally as well as with external parties. Represent the organization in dialogues and negotiations. The consultant is expected to quickly familiarize themselves with the assignment and actively contribute to the development of an attractive and sustainable community.

• Relevant education and extensive experience from public operations at both strategic and operational levels
• Solid experience in urban and community development
• Extensive experience in negotiations
• Documented experience as a manager and leader
• Good ability to drive change and development work

You are results-driven and solution-oriented with the ability to handle complex issues in a structured and meticulous manner. You have strong communication skills and enjoy working closely with others, both internally and externally. Furthermore, you are flexible and comfortable in changing contexts and can easily adapt to new conditions and requirements.
